Chanel's Crystal Catwalk A/W 12

As usual I purchased my favourite weekly magazine yesterday, Look. I just find it such a great magazine brimming with fashion (and also the celebrity rubbish I have to admit I love...) As I flicked the to the first page I was absolutely amazed at what I sore... Not only was it Karl Lagerfeld's gorgeous new Autumn/Winter 2012 collection for Chanel at Paris Fashion Week, but it was presented in one of the most futuristic yet surreal ways I have ever seen. There was a skyline created out of enormous black, grey, white and amethyst crystals. The icy feel and white flooring contrasted superbly with the dark colour scheme of the collection. The crystal idea was most probably created to reflect the beautiful crystal studded decoration on the the pieces throughout, even on the models eyebrows!

Chanel Autumn/Winter 2012

The creative crystal eyebrows fitted the set perfectly

The collection included three piece suits in tweed, shaved sheepskin jackets, velvet jeans with silver seams and my favourite, feathery metallic dresses, just to name a few.

Gorgeous feather detail dress
I love this beautiful fabric and print, and I
want that scarf!

I adore the colour of this chiffon shirt, and
really love the idea of having a see through
skirt over skinny jeans! (A bit too out-there
for me though!)
This shoulder encrusted details is absolutely
gorgeous! I also love the subtle pattern on the
dress. The shoes featured in all of the looks are
also very interesting, following the asymmetric trend.

I thought this show looked incredible and I believe it must have been an amazing to actually see it in person. Hopefully I'll be able to view a Chanel catwalk in person... Maybe one day! (Fingers tightly crossed!)

Floral Perfumes for Spring

I am a massive sucker for flowery perfumes, the more like a flower I smell, the better! And the fact that spring is soon approaching is so exciting to me as I can actually wear my favourite perfumes without feeling silly and out of season!

After reading Aprils issue of Glamour today I came across a very exciting new collection... It was the beautiful Flora by Gucci The Garden Collection! Obviously 'garden' immediately screamed FLOWERY SCENT to me, so I had to go to boots to track them down! I located all three perfumes and tested them out along with my picky boyfriend. We both agreed we loved the blue coloured perfume which was named 'Glamorous Magnolia' and is a 'Glamorous Radiant Flower'. It is described as radiant freshness with smooth velvety petals and endures feminine sensuality. A beautiful description for such a yummy scent! (This will definitely be a future purchase! If I ever have enough money... sighhhh.)
I expected to prefer the pink coloured perfume out of the collection as that's the usual kind of colour I go for, 'Gorgeous Gardenia', 'An Elegant and Sensual Flower'. But I did not like this scent very much as it was a bit too sweet, even for my taste! My boyfriend and I also agreed we did not like the green coloured perfume either, 'Gracious Tuberose', 'A Charismatic And Graceful Flower'. It smelt very much like grass, and to be honest, I don't want to smell like grass!
Overall I think these scents are okay, but they are no where near as good as the original Flora by Gucci which I got for Christmas and absolutely adore!!!

On my boots trip I also discovered another gorgeous new scent, obviously a floral one! It was Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet. It smelt absolutely divine, just like a large bunch of fresh flowers. The bottle was also so cute, but again sooooooo expensive! Another wishlist item..

My favourite floral perfumes that I actually own are as I previously mentioned the beautiful Flora by Gucci. Also I am addicted to Nina Ricci scents as they are so girly and sweet! I have three of her perfumes which are Ricci Ricci, Nina, and (the unfortunately limited edition!)Le Paradis de Nina.

I really hope you enjoyed this blog and I hope it got you excited for spring! Yay for floral scents, floral dresses, flowers everywhere! Floaty Florals! (A bit cheesy maybe? Ah well!)

Adorable Aztecs

Aztec prints have been very big in the fashion world recently with designers such as Diane Von Furstenberg, L.A.M.B and Missoni all embracing the Mexican influenced designs.

Lamb and Missoni S/S 2011

I personally LOVE this bright, patterned, colourful trend and neeeeeed more pieces to add to my wardrobe soon!
Yesterday I located a gorgeous aztec piece that I just had to have! I found it on it's own in the sale section of New Look, how could I leave it on it's lonesome? So here it is! A lovely aztec inspired cream, black and peachy/orange colour cardigan.

I hope you agree it is rather lovely too! I can't wait to wear it teamed with maybe a black top and simple black leggings or jeggings.

I have also located some other beautiful aztec pieces that I would love to possibly purchase over the future! I can dream...
I will definitely be purchasing this gorgeous River Island scarf soon!

 Lovely Warehouse floaty jacket

Vibrant FAIR+true leggings

Loosing my OPI virginity

I have a nail polish obsession, a collection of way over a hundred. But when I was walking past Sally's today after being paid, I couldn't resist but to go in. I then found my old best friend, the clearance section. I've always admired OPI polishes and watched many beauty guru's rave about them, but I've always found them a bit pricey. These polishes came to about £12 for all three, how could I say no? I chose three beautiful colours the first being the bright coral colour 'Red My Fortune Cookie.' The second is a beautiful dark red wine colour with a gold shimmer throughout it and called 'Wocka Wocka!' And the final is a gorgeous bright jade green shade named 'Jade Is The New Black.'

My three gorgeous purchases

Red My Fortune Cookie

Wocka Wocka!

Jade Is The New Black

I love these nail polishes and will definitely be purchasing more soon!
